Walk through free-standing water-filled pools, massive upcycled concrete blocks, local curated graffiti, and large green-scaped installations. Wander inside the giant gorgeous silo to grab a drink or coffee and a snack. This beautiful new space is perfect for an evening with friends before a night out.
Laughs & Liquors
Now, back on your feet. With a quick turnaround, you can grab tickets from the East Austin Comedy Club for some early evening laughs. Tickets are only $20, and they have shows at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on the weekends. The club has an open bar every night and offers dim lighting, velvet curtains, and BYOB. It’s a small gem that’s easy to overlook. They host local and national acts, and some local comedies frequent this spot as a warm-up for a larger room during their tour in Austin. With as much talent that comes through, you don’t know who you’ll see! Hopefully, you caught the early show because it’s time for that last drink and late-night snack. We are walking 6 blocks east to Whisler’s, a rustic-chic watering hole featuring fresh cocktails, handcrafted Old-Fashioneds, and an extensive patio that features frequent live music shows. Finally, the Golden Tiger is outside. This impressive Golden Castle of a food truck has a Thai Chicken sandwich with sweet chili sauce, pickled serranos, red onion, and the sure-to-save-you meal ticket you need to rescue you from a crazy night. Let’s say our goodbyes and head back to the house. It’s time to crawl into those cozy beds and enjoy a spot for everyone to relax and get a night’s rest.
